(Pacoima,
CA) The Impulse
Hybrid Fairway and Utility shafts utilize Harrison's
patent pending Inlay Titanium Matrix technology.
It incorporates a thin layer of titanium wrapped
around the tip section of the shaft to reduce shaft
distortion upon impact to increase stability, reduce
shaft torque as to dramatically improve accuracy.
The
Inlay Titanium Matrix is particularly important
for a Hybrid club due to the added stress created
by turf contact. Upon impacting the turf, regular
graphite shafts distort undesirably. Only with the
added titanium layer can the shaft be counted on
to produce a reliable shot. In addition, the Impulse
shafts are engineered with a lower balance point
and are tuned to produce a higher launch angle to
make it easier to bring the ball up into the air.

The
Impulse
series comes in two versions: the 44", 75g,
335 tip Fairway and the 42", 85g, 370 tip Utility.
The Fairway shaft is intended for fairway woods.
The utility is in tended for utility woods and long
irons.
Since
its introduction, nearly all of the top ten golf
club companies have picked up the Impulse
shafts as options, and consumer reaction has been
overwhelming. The Impulse shafts are available from
senior flex to stiff flex.
